Learning outcomes:
Project management is a rapidly growing focus discipline within most businesses and organizations. Finding the optimal way of operating and managing projects is a continuous challenge
The overall aim of the course is that students understand the challenges and managerial tasks related to project deliveries in organizations and are capable of setting up a plan for executing a project.

The student should be able to:
- Describe the characteristics of a project in relation to routine tasks within an organization
- Understand and be able to describe the typical flow of a project including core processes as well as supporting processes
- Describe the typical project lifecycle and phases
- Describe different ways of organizing the project and how to root it into the basic organization
- Understand and be able to use methods and tools used in analysing and management of projects
- Use the most common techniques in project evaluation
- Assess risks in projects and identify the success factors
- Get awareness of project management's impact on business change management, and organizational maturity
- Get a basic understanding of the difference between Project, Program and portfolio management
- Get an overview of the most recognised Project manager certifications.

Form of instruction:
Teaching consists of dialog-based lectures, case studies and reading of scientific literature.

Evaluation
Individual oral exam with internal co-examiner. Grading in accordance with the Danish 7-point scale.
